Kate Carey

Kate Carey is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and risk management. Currently serving as the Head of Regulatory Compliance and Filings for the Maples Group in the British Virgin Islands since June 2020, Kate previously held the position of Director at the Women's Offshore Network, promoting women's professional development in the financial services sector from June 2018 to June 2020. Prior to this, Kate worked as an Operations Assurance Manager and MLRO at Portcullis Group, where responsibilities included conducting internal control reviews and maintaining compliance assurance programs. Kate's consulting experience includes a role at Ballast & Capel Business Consulting, providing advisory services in the legal and offshore trust sectors. Kate holds several educational certifications, including an ongoing affiliation with STEP, and completed various courses in corporate governance, risk-based auditing, and law, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Kent.
