Thibault Derrien

Thibault Derrien is an experienced researcher and group lead at HiLASE Centre since July 2014, specializing in ultrafast photonics and numerical simulations of laser-matter interactions. Thibault has a strong background in high power computation, nanostructuring, and time-dependent density functional theory, contributing to projects on quantum electrodynamics and polaritonics. Thibault has held various academic roles, including postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Planck Institute and research positions at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung and Laboratoire Hubert Curien, among others. Thibault earned a PhD in nanotechnology from Aix-Marseille University and multiple master's degrees from Université Paris-Saclay. Thibault is also a member of the Marie Curie Alumni Association and has established collaborations with international research groups.
