Eric Brettner is the current Chief Financial Officer at Marin General Hospital. Eric was previously with PeaceHealth as the Group Chief Financial Officer from May 2017 to September 2019. While with PeaceHealth, they were recruited to collaborate with the CEO and other NWN Leaders to develop a strategic plan that aligns with local and system goals and objectives; and to lead the leadership team in developing key operational initiatives to execute the strategic plan. Eric initiated a system wide strategic pricing project and oversaw the implementation of a bench-marking initiative to assist in long-term cost reduction efforts which saved $10 million. Eric also led NWN leadership team efforts in developing key operational initiatives to execute strategic plans, including management of length-of-stay, development of the care continuum and labor costs. Lastly, they oversaw expansion of swing beds at the Critical Access Hospital and pioneered service line analyses to realign service delivery to meet the Network’s long-term strategic plans which saved more than $20 million in capital expenditures.

Eric Brettner received their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Saint Mary's College of California and their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting and Finance from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Eric is also certified by the California State Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
