Jenny Liu has worked in finance for over 10 years. Jenny started their career at KPMG UK as an assistant manager. Jenny then moved to Handelsbanken in the UK as an internal auditor. From there, they went to Markel International as an internal auditor. In 2018, they joined MS Amlin as a syndicate accountant. Jenny left MS Amlin in 2019 to join Marshmallow as head of finance.
At Marshmallow, Jenny has been responsible for supporting the company's Series A and B fundraising rounds, creating efficient cashflow management and spending monitoring processes, and supporting the development of new payment product features. Jenny has also served on the company's board of directors. In their three years at Marshmallow, Jenny has scaled the finance team from 1 to 8 members. Jenny has overseen the company's first year audit and internal audit, and they are responsible for monthly reporting. Jenny also handles group tax strategy, R&D tax claims, and share schemes for Marshmallow.
Jenny Liu has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Warwick Business School. Jenny also has an upper secondary school education in science from VRG Odenplan Stockholm. Additionally, they are certified from the Charted Insurance Institute in CII - Certificate in Insurance and from ICEAW in ICEAW - ACA.
Guy Phillips - Head of Strategic Finance, Holly Price - Credit Controller report to Jenny Liu. Jenny Liu reports to Alexander Kent-Braham, Co-Founder & Co-CEO. They work with Christopher Sampson - VP, Operations, Caroline Gillard - Chief People Officer, and Sunny Yu - Head of Acquisition.
