Alexandra G. is a Graduate Urban Climate Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since February 2024, building on previous work with the Buildings Research Group. Concurrently, Alexandra serves as an International Environment Researcher at ICF and as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley's Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory. Recently, as a Climate Policy and Justice Fellow with the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, Alexandra focused on clean energy policy advocacy. With past experience as a GEM Fellow at both the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Berkeley Lab, Alexandra has conducted research on urban building energy modeling and equitable renewable energy diffusion. Notable earlier roles include a Legislative Fellow at ESP Advisors and an NCAS-M Undergraduate Fellow at NOAA, where Alexandra engaged in sociological research on climate-related issues. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Environmental Science from Howard University and is expected to complete a Master’s and Ph.D. in Energy and Resources at UC Berkeley by 2026.
