James Snow

James Snow is the Dean of Academic Affairs at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), having served previously as the Assistant Provost for Academic Research, and the Academic Director of the Integrative Health Sciences Department and Herbal Medicine Department.Dr. Snow has worked as a clinician, educator and researcher in the field of herbal medicine. Areas of research include the cognitive effects of herbs and phytochemicals, the role of context effects in herbal medicine, and the attitudes and use of evidence-informed practice among complementary health practitioners. He is an advisor for the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia and sits on the editorial committee for the Journal of the American Herbalists Guild.

As Dean of Academic Affairs, Dr. Snow provides leadership for initiatives and ongoing activities related to academic and instructional quality for students through all phases of the academic process including curriculum development, hiring faculty, and supporting professional development for faculty.

He holds a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition from MUIH, and completed the herbal residency program at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine.
