Luis M Falcon

Luis M Falcon currently serves as Dean Emeritus of the College of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell since August 2024. Prior to this role, extensive experience at Northeastern University included positions as Professor of Sociology, where instruction focused on research methods and statistics while supervising graduate students, and multiple vice-provost roles overseeing graduate education, faculty and graduate policy, as well as student affairs. Academic credentials include a PhD in Sociology with a focus on Social Demography from Cornell University, a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Psychiatric Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the same institution.
