Aissatou Diajhate

Aissatou Diajhate is an experienced professional in leadership development and higher education, currently serving as Advisor To The President and CEO at Mastercard Foundation since June 2017. Previously, Aissatou held positions such as Senior Program Manager for Higher Education at the same organization and Regional Manager for West Africa with IREX, where engagement with USAID and local partners facilitated the development of Mandela Washington Fellows across 21 countries. Aissatou’s extensive background also includes managing the Scholars Programs at Mastercard Foundation, directing international programs at Beautiful World Canada Foundation, overseeing grants at Stephen Lewis Foundation, and leading admissions at Suffolk University. Aissatou holds a Master's Degree in International Development from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Universite Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar, Senegal.
