David Van Vliet

As SVP, Technical Practices and Innovation, David Van Vliet helps to drive technical excellence and innovation, while ensuring Matrix consistently delivers high quality solutions for our clients. David has more than 25 years of experience as a water resources engineer in areas such as drinking water source protection, watershed hydrology, groundwater and surface water interactions, groundwater and surface water modelling, climate change impact assessments, and information management. He was involved in the development of the water quantity framework relating to the Province of Ontario’s Clean Water Act.

David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in water resources engineering from the University of Guelph before going on to complete a Master of Applied Science degree in water resources from the University of Waterloo. He is based in Guelph, Ontario.
