Naveen Dutta

Naveen Dutta is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in FPGA design and embedded flight software. Currently serving as a Principal Embedded Flight Software Engineer at Maxar Technologies since September 2021, Naveen collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop mission-critical FPGAs for satellites and provides essential FPGA expertise to software engineers. Prior to this role, Naveen was a Senior FPGA Design Engineer at General Atomics, leading a team responsible for FPGA designs for two critical satellites. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Applications Engineer at Xilinx, where Naveen managed the Product Requirement Team and oversaw integration processes, as well as an FPGA/ASIC Design Engineer at Avaya, leading multi-million gate FPGA designs. Naveen also has a background in academia, having served as an adjunct faculty member and teaching assistant, and holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Communications from Punjab Engineering College.
