Kory Koreeda

SVP, Strategy at Mazda Motor Corporation

Kory Koreeda is senior vice president of strategy and assistant to the CEO for Mazda North American Operations (MNAO). In his current role, he is responsible for corporate planning, product planning, brand strategy and consumer insights. Koreeda was appointed to his current position in April 2016.

Koreeda began his career with Mazda 37 years ago and has since held a number of executive positions at both at MNAO and Mazda Motor Corporation (MC) in Hiroshima, Japan. Prior to his role as senior vice president for MNAO, he served as president of Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI).

Previously, Koreeda was the division general manager of the global marketing division at MC. Koreeda served as vice president of strategic planning and market integration at MNAO, where he worked to define MNAO’s long term direction and led efforts in emerging markets. Before this, Koreeda served as vice president of customer service and parts operation as well as vice president of product strategies.

Koreeda was born in Japan and received his degree in economics from Konan University. He currently resides in Southern California.
