Louis Wolthers

Louis Wolthers is the current Regional President, Asia Pacific & South Africa (APACSA) at McCain Foods. Prior to this, they were the CEO AFGRI Foods from March 2001 to October 2009. In this role, they were responsible for the management and strategic direction of the business as well as Acquisitions and Disposals. AFGRI Foods represents four strategic business units namely: AFGRI Animal Feeds, Daybreak Farms (Broiler breeding, rearing and processing), AFGRI Foods (Manufacture of Vegetable protein and oils, LabWorld (Laboratory equipment sales and maintenance).

Before their time at AFGRI Foods, Louis Wolthers was the MD Tiger Milling at Tiger Brands Ltd from January 1999 to February 2001. In this role, they managed the Wheat and Maize Milling activities of Tiger Brands which included Procurement, Production through four Wheat mills and three Maize mills, distribution through twenty-two depots, marketing and sales.

Louis Wolthers has also been self-employed as an investor from November 2009 to April 2011. Prior to this, they were the General Manager at Premier Milling from January 1988 to December 1995.

Louis Wolthers has a B Com (Hons) in Accounting, CA (SA) and an M Com (Bus Man) in Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing and Income Tax from the University of Johannesburg. Louis also went to Hoër Seunskool Helpmekaar.

They are on a team with Philippe Thery - Chief Agriculture Officer, Peter Dawe - Chief Growth & Strategy Officer, and Attila Tamer - Chief Manufacturing & Operations Officer. Their manager is Max Koeune, President & CEO.
