Sergio Waisser

Senior Partner, Mexico at McKinsey & Company

Sergio has more than 20 years of experience at the firm. His areas of expertise include digital banking and insurance, growth, strategy, and enterprise transformations. He has worked on multiple engagements in Europe, Latin America, Mexico, and the United States and has become an influential voice in the business ecosystem in the country through an extensive network.

As part of the Mexico and New York offices, Sergio led the Financial Services Practice in Mexico and is a core member of the leadership of this group in Latin America. He previously served as managing partner in Mexico for almost six years and doubled the size of the office during his tenure.

Sergio has coauthored more than 20 McKinsey publications on subjects like banking, payments, strategic marketing, Mexican economic development, and leadership.

Prior to McKinsey, Sergio cofounded a desktop-publishing company and he was a stockbroker certified by the National Bank and Commodities Commission, Instituto del Mercado de Valores (IMERVAL).

Sergio speaks four languages, is an active leader in the Jewish community, and is a member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). He is a passionate marathonist and he likes to spend his weekends with his family.
