Eric Runez

Eric Runez serves as the Regional Director of Energy for the Midwest Region at McKinstry since July 2022, where the focus is on addressing complex challenges in the evolving energy sector. Concurrently, Eric Runez has been an Adjunct Professor at Edgewood College since January 2021, teaching courses in Political and Policy Educational Leadership at the doctoral level. Eric Runez previously held the position of Superintendent for the DeForest Area School District from July 2016 to July 2022, and for the Whitewater Unified School District from July 2005 to June 2016, where responsibilities included oversight of grades 4K-12. Prior to that, Eric Runez served as Principal at Whitewater Middle School and Johnson Creek Middle and High School, covering grades 6-12 and 7-12 respectively. Eric Runez holds a Doctor of Education from Edgewood College, a Superintendent Certification from Marquette University, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Social Studies Teacher Education and Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa.
