Julie Owen

Julie Owen, MD, MBA, FAPA, is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin since August 2009, where responsibilities include serving as the Medical Director of the Emergency Psychiatry Service and being the first embedded Emergency Psychiatrist in the Froedtert Hospital Emergency Department. Julie has held various roles, including Chief Medical Officer at the Mental Health Emergency Center and Psychiatrist with The Periscope Project, which focuses on perinatal psychiatric consultation. Previous experience includes Chief Resident in Psychiatry at Milwaukee County Mental Health, Executive Director of Physicians for the Arts, and roles in laboratory and performance settings. Julie's education comprises an Executive MBA from Marquette University and an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin, in addition to a BA in Psychology and a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Central Florida.
