Aura Aalto

Aura Aalto is an experienced pharmacovigilance professional with a strong background in drug safety and regulatory submissions. Currently employed as a Pharmacovigilance Expert at Medimo Oy since August 2023, Aura previously served as a Drug Safety Officer at TFS - Clinical Contract Research Organization from February 2021 to August 2023. Responsibilities included EU QPPV, project management, and maintenance of the Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF). Prior roles include positions at Santen as a Pharmacovigilance Specialist and Assistant, with a focus on ICSR process management and safety database management in the EMEA region. Additional experience as a pharmacist at Apteekki Tampereentie showcased expertise in customer service and wound care, while earlier research work at the University of Turku involved developing assays for drug screening. Aura holds a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Helsinki and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Åbo Akademi University, alongside a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Turku.
