Jim Washburn is currently the Engineering Manager at Circle. Prior to this, they were a Defense Consultant at AECOM from October 2016 to May 2019. Before that, they were the Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton from May 2010 to October 2016.
At Booz Allen Hamilton, Jim provided support to PEO-LS, PM M&HTV / PMM206. Jim was also the Integration team lead and responsible for leading the support team effort to plan, schedule and conduct the installation of 14 survivability and safety modifications to the USMC armored medium tactical wheeled vehicle fleet. In addition, they were the Project Management / Team Lead, providing project management, acquisition logistics, contract management, configuration management, decision support, test support, and quality control for current and emerging projects and tasks for the PM M&HTV. Jim was also the career manager for PM analysts / logistics analysts across multiple contracts and outlined career progression metrics, provided mentoring and coaching to help associates plan and execute career development and training plans. Jim also performed recruiting and hiring manager duties and authored multiple performance assessments. Lastly, they were a core team member for execution of local business capture plan and the technical lead for proposal development.
Jim has always been interested in engineering and management and has used their skillset to move up in their career. Jim is currently using their knowledge and experience to help lead Engineering at Circle.
Jim Washburn has earned a Master's of Science in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Business Management from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
Jim Washburn reports to Timo Kissel, Senior VP Engineering. Jim Washburn works with Jeff Estacio - Development Manager, Dan Martin - Technical Director OEM Products, and JP Zbylut - Program Manager. Michael Higgins - Software Engineer, John Anderberg - Senior Software Engineer, and Zane Friesen - QA Intern report to Jim Washburn.
