Toshiaki was in charge of the IFRS17 insurance contracts project, which aimed to improve accounting for long-duration insurance contracts. Toshiaki was also involved in the development of the Common Framework for the Supervision of Internationally Active Insurance Groups (ComFrame) and the Global Insurance Capital Standards (ICS). In addition, they helped develop the Basic Capital Requirements (BCR) for Global Systemically Important Insurers (G-SIIs) and the Higher Loss Absorbency (HLA) requirements for G-SIIs.

Saito is a well-respected figure in the insurance industry, and their work has helped Meiji Yasuda become one of the leading insurers in the world.

Toshiaki Saito graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Hitotsubashi University and is certified as a Certified International Investment Analyst from The Association of Certified International Investment Analysts and as a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan from The Securities Analysts Association of Japan.

Toshiaki Saito reports to Akio Negishi, Director, President, Representative Executive Officer. They work with Tomoyuki Nakatani - Managing Executive Officer, Yasuhiro Suga - Executive Officer, and Satoru Tanaka - Audit & Supervisory Committee Member.
