Channa Jayasinha

Channa Jayasinha is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in digital and information technology management. Currently serving as the Director of Digital & Technology Experience/CIO at Melbourne Polytechnic since March 2021, Channa has previously held significant roles including Manager Strategic ICT at Gladstone Regional Council, Manager Business Information & Technology at Wellington City Council, and Director Border Change Programme & Joint Border Management System at the Ministry for Primary Industries. Additional experience includes positions as Chief Information Officer at both the Ministry of Fisheries and the Department of Conservation, as well as Chief Technology Officer at the Ministry of Economic Development. Channa's career began as Information Technology Manager at Te Papa Museum of New Zealand. Educational background includes attendance at Ananda College in Sri Lanka and Manawatu College in New Zealand.
