Baichuan Zhang

Baichuan Zhang is a Senior Staff Research Scientist and Software Engineer at Meta since February 2018, focusing on ads product, ranking, delivery, and signal loss mitigation within the Monetization organization. Prior to Meta, Baichuan held the position of Research Assistant at Purdue University from August 2013 to January 2018, specializing in information retrieval, graph representation learning, and privacy-preserving data mining. Additional experience includes a Software Engineering PhD Internship at Facebook in 2017 concentrated on feature learning and recommender systems, a Software Engineering Internship at Hortonworks in 2016 focused on anomaly detection, and a Research Internship at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2015 centered on knowledge graph mining. Baichuan earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Mining from Purdue University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology.
