Katherine A. Black

Katherine A. Black, Ph.D. currently serves as a Business Development Executive at Metabolon, Inc. since September 2024, and previously held senior roles in business development at biocrates life sciences ag from January 2020 to October 2024. Prior to entering the business sector, Katherine was a Postdoctoral Associate at Weill Cornell Medicine, where significant research on Mycobacterium tuberculosis led to a publication. Katherine completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biochemistry at Wake Forest University, where innovative research resulted in a first-author publication and project management experience in training students. Katherine also contributed to academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and demonstrated leadership as co-chair of the Student Government Academic Committee and treasurer of Alpha Epsilon Delta.
