Gareth Jones

Gareth Jones is the Head of Engineering at Mettler-Toledo International, Inc since February 2022, previously serving as Head of Engineering at HUBER+SUHNER Polatis from August 2019 to February 2022. Prior to that, Gareth held the position of Market Intelligence and Photonics Lead at a stealth mode start-up from January 2019 to August 2019 and Senior Manager R&D at Lumentum from January 2013 to January 2019, where responsibilities included leading development programs and optimizing product efficiency and quality. Gareth also worked at JDSU as Manager R&D from January 2009 to January 2013, where oversight included cross-site development programs and capital expansion initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles as R&D Development Engineer at JDS Uniphase and Advanced Automation Development Engineer at VIAVI Solutions. Gareth holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Swansea University, completed in 1999.
