Morris Copeland

Morris Copeland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community services, currently serving as the Chief Community Services Officer in the Office of the Mayor for Miami-Dade County since November 2011. In this role, Morris oversees various departments, including Community Action Human Services, Juvenile Services, Public Housing and Community Development, Public Library, Cultural Affairs, Animal Services, and the Homeless Trust. With a commitment to supporting at-risk youth, Morris previously held the position of Deputy Director at Miami-Dade County from 2008 to February 2011. Morris earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Colorado Boulder between 1984 and 1988.
