Alison Orth

Alison Orth is an accomplished professional in the field of clinical research and health management, currently serving as the Portfolio Director for Research Programs and Director of Clinical Trials BC at Michael Smith Health Research BC since October 2021. In this role, Alison leads the Clinical Trials BC unit, focusing on strategic priorities to position British Columbia as a premier destination for clinical trials, and participates in the Senior Leadership Team responsible for a new three-year strategy. Previous roles include Clinical Research Consultant/Speaker at ARGO Group since April 2012, and Unit Director at Clinical Trials BC from September 2018 to September 2021, where executive leadership was provided to advance similar missions. Earlier experience includes serving as Clinical Research Leader at Fraser Health Authority and Vice President at TASC Research Services Inc., along with roles as Site Manager and Clinical Research Coordinator. Alison holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and has additional education from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and the University of Lethbridge.
