Maria Sicilia

Maria Sicilia is an experienced professional currently serving as a Project Researcher Specialist at King's College London since June 2024. Concurrently, Maria works as an Investment Analyst at Michigan Interactive Investments and is a Service Abroad and Needs Assessment Team Member at M-HEAL, both roles initiated in September 2021. Additionally, Maria holds the position of Education Committee Senior Member at miRcore 501(c)(3), where responsibilities include designing curriculum for high school camps and teaching biology and coding concepts. Maria has also worked as a Computational Biology and Biotechnology Teaching Assistant, imparting knowledge in R programming and AI applications in biological research. Previously, Maria was a Junior Analyst for Paradigm Opportunities Fund, LLC from December 2021 to August 2022. Maria is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biopharmaceutical Engineering and Biotech Track at the University of Michigan, expected to graduate in 2025, after completing high school at Detroit Country Day School from 2017 to 2021.
