Steve Hsu

Steve Hsu is a prominent physicist and entrepreneur currently serving as a Co-Founder of SuperFocus since April 2023, which specializes in solutions related to Large Language Models. As a Co-Founder of Genomic Prediction since May 2017, Steve has contributed to advancements in IVF genetic testing, partnering with clinics worldwide. At Michigan State University, Steve holds multiple roles including Professor of Theoretical Physics and Computational Mathematics, and Senior Vice-President for Research and Innovation, managing approximately $700 million in annual research expenditures and overseeing various research initiatives and facilities. Prior academic positions include Professor at the University of Oregon and a Visiting Professorship at Caltech. Steve also co-founded SafeWeb, Inc., which was acquired by Symantec in 2003.
