Qian Liu

Qian Liu is currently the Head of Plasmid Engineering and LVV at Minaris Advanced Therapies since May 2025, following a distinguished tenure at OXGENE from July 2017 to May 2025, where multiple leadership roles were held, including Head of Plasmid Engineering and LVV, Head of Engineering and Production, and Head of Biomanufacturing Services. Prior to OXGENE, Qian Liu worked at Loughborough University as a Research Associate focusing on hepatocyte processing, encapsulation, and cryopreservation for ex vivo liver support. Additional experience includes serving as a Research Fellow at the Wolfson Centre of Stem Cell & Tissue Engineering and Modelling at the University of Nottingham, automating human embryonic stem cell culture and differentiation. Qian Liu completed a PhD in Molecular Nutrition at the University of Nottingham from 2008 to 2012, and holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from Peking University (2004-2008).
