Rogier Verstraeten

Rogier Verstraeten is an experienced professional currently serving as the Coordinator in the account team at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken since September 2022. In this role, Rogier also holds the position of Interim Deputy Head of the International Financial Institutions team and Advisor for the Secondment Policy/HDPO. Prior to this, Rogier worked at the European External Action Service as a Seconded National Expert from September 2020 to August 2022. Rogier's extensive career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands spanned from August 2007 to August 2020, culminating in roles such as Regional Energy Coordinator, Senior Advisor Policy & Implementation, Senior Adviser to the Director General for International Cooperation/BIS, and Senior Advisor in Economics and Governance. Rogier’s academic background includes studies at Radboud University and Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
