Rick White

Rick White is a full-time faculty member in the CSIT Department at MiraCosta College, beginning in August 2020, with a strong focus on AI, Data Science, and digital privacy through an educational approach termed "Energetic Learning." Prior to this role, Rick served as an adjunct faculty member at MiraCosta College, enhancing students’ understanding of Data Science from January 2019 to May 2020. Rick has also contributed to the field of design thinking as an advisory board member for the Rutgers University Design Thinking Certificate Program from August 2018 to May 2020. In the corporate sector, Rick held significant positions, including SVP of Research and Innovation at CryptoGenomics, CEO and Founder of Sure Genomics, and various leadership roles within Action Sports Group and Digital SweatShop, Inc., focusing on digital media, technology strategies, and genomic data management. Rick earned a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Southern California and a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from National University, along with certifications in genetics, machine learning, and bioinformatics from Udacity and Stanford University.
