Victoire de Groote has worked in the financial sector since 1989. victoire began their career at Fortis Bank, where they served as the Head of Country Risk. In 2001, they joined BNP Paribas Fortis as the Responsable Country Risk. In 2010, they moved to HSBC, where they served as the Global Head of Country Risk. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Mitigram as the Chief Economist and Chief Economist for Mitigram.

Victoire de Groote obtained a Master's degree in economics from the Université catholique de Louvain between 1976 and 1981.
