David Martin

VP, Global Head Medical RWE at Moderna Therapeutics

David Martin is currently the Vice President, Global Head Medical RWE at Moderna Therapeutics. Prior to this, they served as Captain in the United States Public Health Service, retiring in July 2020. David also worked as the Associate Director for Real World Evidence Analytics at the FDA from September 2009 to July 2020. From 2007 to 2008, they were an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. David also served as a Medical Officer at the White House Military Office from 2008 to 2009. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Medical Officer at the 88th Medical Group at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. David also completed a residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Johns Hopkins from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they served as a Medical Officer (Flight Medicine) at the 90th Medical Group at F.E. Warren Air Force Base from 2001 to 2003. David began their career as an Intern at the 81st Medical Group at Keesler Air Force Base from 2000 to 2001. David is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and completed their medical training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

David Martin completed a Bachelor of Arts at The Citadel before going on to complete a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Public Health at The Johns Hopkins University.

David Martin reports to Paul Burton, Chief Medical Officer. David Martin works with J. Rodrigo Mora - VP, Head of Platform Immunology, Melissa J. Moore - Chief Scientific Officer, Platform Research, and Patrick Bergstedt - SVP, Commercial Vaccines.
