Chirantan Desai

Chirantan “CJ” Desai is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MongoDB. Under his leadership, MongoDB is advancing its position as the default modern database platform powering AI, cloud, and real-time applications.

CJ brings more than 25 years of experience leading global product and engineering organizations across cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, and cybersecurity. Through his experiences, he’s developed a deep understanding of growth at scale for both technology innovation and GTM execution. Before joining MongoDB, he served as President of Product and Engineering at Cloudflare and as President and Chief Operating Officer at ServiceNow, where he helped grow revenue organically from $1.5 billion to more than $10 billion. He previously held senior roles at EMC and Symantec and started his technology career at Oracle.

CJ earned a Master’s in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award.
