Sean Southard

Sean Southard is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Office of Governor Greg Gianforte in Montana since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sean held several prominent communication positions, including Director of Communications for the Republican Party of Kentucky and Cameron for Governor. Sean's career also features significant roles at the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, where responsibilities included directing public affairs and communications. Earlier experience includes a Senior Account Executive position at RunSwitch PR, where Sean developed and executed communication strategies for various clients, and an account executive role at the University of Louisville, focusing on graphic design and social media strategy. Sean began gaining experience in politics as a legislative intern in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and as a Senate Page. Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from the University of Louisville.
