Nikos Poulassichidis, EIT, is a Control Systems Engineer at Motiva Enterprises LLC, providing technical support to maintain the reliability of refinery control systems since January 2023. Previously, Nikos served as a Process Engineering Intern at Air Liquide, where the creation of I/O logic equations enhanced real-time updates and process efficiency for a hydrogen plant. As a Process Controls Co-op at Olin, Nikos designed and implemented a pH level control scheme that improved process efficiency and resulted in significant savings. Experience also includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M Energy Institute and as an Intern at Huntsman Corporation, where substantial contributions were made to the development of new polyurethane formulations. Additionally, Nikos participated in a multidisciplinary team project as part of the SEC Directed Internship, designing an oil pumpjack system. Nikos holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston.
