Steven Hartman, MD, currently serves as a Cardiology Fellow and Internal Medicine Resident Physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center since May 2022. Previous experience includes a Medical Student role at the Cell Therapy Institute at Nova Southeastern University, where research focused on genetically engineered Natural Killer (NK) cells for tumor antigen targeting. As a Postbaccalaureate Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, Steven investigated cancer immunotherapy, particularly CAR T-cell therapies. Additional research at Georgetown University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill involved virology and epidemiology, contributing to studies on multiple viral infections and their mechanisms. Steven holds an M.D. from Nova Southeastern University and advanced degrees in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University, as well as a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
