Jan Smit

Jan Smit has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jan is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Moving Intelligence since May 2021. Prior to this, they were a General Partner at Two Hop starting in 2018. In 2019, Jan became a Board Member at Stichting VSA, where they contributed to improving the acceptance rate of children into their preferred secondary school in Amsterdam.

Jan's previous experience includes working as the Chief Financial Officer at LeasePlan Corporation N.V. from 2010 to 2018, where they played a key role in financial management. Jan also held the position of Head M&A at de Volksbank from 2007 to 2009. Earlier in their career, Jan served as an Advisor to the CEO at LeasePlan Corporation N.V. from 2004 to 2007.

Jan Smit started their professional journey as a Consultant Private Equity at Bain & Company in 1998 and worked there till 2004. Throughout their career, they have acquired valuable expertise in finance, management, and strategic planning.

Jan Smit obtained an MSc in Physics from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. Following this, they pursued an MBA in Finance and Marketing at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, completing their studies there from 2001 to 2002.
