Axel Stockmann

Axel Stockmann has over 25 years of experience in information technology and management. Since January 2001, Axel has held multiple leadership roles at Munich Re (Group), including Head of Global IT Strategy, IT Governance, IT Compliance and Project Management Pool, as well as roles overseeing IT Service Management, IT Innovations, and Application Development for Business Solutions. Before joining Munich Re, Axel worked as an IT Consultant at debis Systemhaus from April 1999 to December 2000 and served as the Head of Organisation and Application Development at Hoffmann Datentechnik GmbH from February 1987 to September 1989. Axel holds a Diplom-Physiker degree in Physics from the University of Bremen and a Vordiplom in Physics from the University of Duisburg-Essen.
