Matthew Stearns is the Chief Financial Officer of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. Stearns is a native of Shelbyville, Tennessee. He ventured north, where he earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Harvard University. Stearns later earned his M.B.A in finance and J.D. in law from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and Vanderbilt University Law School, respectively.

Before joining MMC, he spent the previous seven years working in the telecommunications industry, where he managed the development of more than $300 million worth of critical infrastructure projects across the United States for one of the nation’s leading publicly-traded infrastructure companies.

Stearns lives in Murfreesboro with his wife Ashley, who is an attorney with Coleman & Stearns law firm in Murfreesboro, and their two sons. He and his family are members of New Vision Baptist Church, and they are active volunteers at Providence Christian Academy among other organizations in the community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and reading.
