Rika Hiro

Rika Hiro is an accomplished art historian currently serving as the Associate Curator of Japanese Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) since January 2023. Prior to this role, Rika held positions as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Asian Art at Scripps College and in Art History at Occidental College. Rika also worked as a Dornsife Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at the University of Southern California and as a lecturer at California State University-Long Beach. Rika earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Art History and Visual Studies from the University of Southern California, where studies were conducted from 2008 to 2016.
