Arulkumaran S

Arulkumaran S is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in semiconductor physics and GaN electronics. Currently serving as the Associate Programme Director and Senior Principal Research Scientist at Nanyang Technological University Singapore since March 2005, Arulkumaran specializes in the fabrication and research of III-V and III-Nitride materials, focusing on GaN electronics for various applications including microwave communication and radiation sensing. Previous roles include Research Director and Principal Research Scientist, where responsibilities involved leading teams in GaN device design and fabrication, process qualification, and the development of technology roadmaps. Arulkumaran has held academic positions at Nagoya University and Nagoya Institute of Technology, contributing to the advancement of GaN technology through numerous research projects and supervising students. Arulkumaran obtained a Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics from Anna University Chennai and has a strong background in various semiconductor fabrication techniques from past experiences at Motorola Semiconductors and research fellowships.
