Laura McCarthy

Senior Manager, Network Engagement at National Audubon Society

Laura McCarthy has a strong background in conservation and environmental advocacy. Laura started their career in 2005 as a Program Associate at Citizens' Environmental Coalition. In 2007, they joined the National Audubon Society as a Grassroots Coordinator, where they worked closely with the Audubon chapters in New York, coordinating action alerts, lobbying on legislative priorities, and managing volunteers. Laura held this role until 2010. After that, they progressed within the organization, serving as the Manager of Conservation Engagement from 2007 to 2019, Network Engagement Manager from 2019 to 2023, and currently holding the position of Senior Manager of Network Engagement.

Laura McCarthy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies/English Writing from St. Lawrence University from 2000 to 2004.
