Matthew MacDonald

Matthew Macdonald is an experienced financial executive currently serving as Senior Vice-President and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer for Commercial & Private Banking at the National Bank of Canada since September 2019. Prior roles at the National Bank include Managing Director and Head of the National Client Group. Previously, Matthew spent nine years at Scotiabank, holding various director-level positions in Central Canada and Commercial Banking. Matthew also served as a Board Member for the Oakville Hospital Foundation from 2015 to 2018 and is an active member of the Canada East Chapter of YPO. Matthew's educational background includes a Master's in Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queen's University.
