Claire McNulty

Claire McNulty serves as the Executive Director for Europe and the Middle East at the National Geographic Society since September 2022, while also holding the position of Senior Director for International (Europe) at National Geographic since July 2017. Prior experience includes roles at the British Council as Director of Science, Acting Director of Science, and Science Adviser from September 2008 to August 2017, as well as a Senior Science Adviser at The Royal Society from September 2011 to May 2012. Claire has provided consultancy services as a Science Consultant from September 2005 to September 2008 and served as a Publishing Programme Manager at Elsevier from July 2004 to July 2005. Additionally, Claire worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Hubrecht Laboratory and KNAW & University of Utrecht from 2000 to 2004. Claire holds a PhD in Developmental Biology from King's College London and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Leeds.
