Raphael Aaron Orlina

Raphael Aaron Orlina is a seasoned professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as Supervisor of Grid Security Studies at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines since January 2019. In this role, Raphael leads various power system studies and strategic implementations while managing HVDC and STATCOM projects. Prior experience includes positions as Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer, contributing to the development of internal standards and guidelines through technical support and data analysis. Earlier, Raphael worked as a Senior Engineer at Grid Management Committee, Inc., providing research and stakeholder coordination support. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, both obtained from the University of the Philippines. A notable accomplishment is the successful execution of audits to ensure compliance with the Philippine Grid Code.
