Jennifer Koss

Director, Coral Reef Conservation Program at NOAA

Jennifer Koss serves as Co-Chair for the International Coral Reef Initiative and Vice Chair for the Coral Research & Development Accelerator Platform (CORDAP). In a longstanding career with NOAA, Jennifer has held various leadership positions, including Director of the Coral Reef Conservation Program, which manages a $33 million annual budget dedicated to the preservation of coral reef ecosystems. Jennifer also managed day-to-day operations within the program and was involved in interagency agreements to enhance ecosystem-based management in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior experience includes roles as Coral Reef Conservation Program Supervisor at NOAA Fisheries and Congressional Liaison for Senator Inouye, focusing on marine and coastal conservation issues. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Marine Policy from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography and Biology from the University of Michigan.
