John Bird

John Bird is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in architecture and leadership roles across the financial services sector. Currently serving as a Senior Architect and Technology Lead at Nationwide Building Society since June 2019, John oversees the Unsecured Lending domain, focusing on strategy and architectural oversight for various projects. Prior to this role, John held key positions at Visa as a Senior Technology Manager and Data Systems Architect, where responsibilities included leadership of Service Design and Data & Software teams. Earlier experience includes serving as an Enterprise Architect at Lloyds TSB, where John enhanced operations for major corporate clients, and as a .Net Architect at Mint Equities, managing the architecture and delivery of critical financial products.
