Nanette Kelley is a self-employed writer, artist, and independent contractor with extensive experience in journalism and public relations. As a journalist and member of the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA), Kelley specializes in art, culture, education, environment, and history. In addition to work as a multimedia artist, Kelley has been a documentary filmmaker for the Bartow Project, collaborating with the Wiyot Tribe and Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre since June 2021. Kelley's writing contributions span multiple platforms, including First American Art Magazine, IndianCountryToday.com, and Native News Online. A recipient of the 2021 California Arts Council Administrators of Color Fellowship, Kelley has been involved in grant review panels for the California Arts Council. Academically, Kelley holds an M.A. in Indigenous Education from Arizona State University and multiple degrees in communications and art from various institutions.
