Laurie Geller

Director Of Peer Review at Natural Resources Defense Council

Laurie Geller is an experienced professional in the fields of environmental science and policy, currently serving as the Director of Peer Review at the Natural Resources Defense Council since October 2022. Prior to this role, Geller was a Senior Program Officer at the National Academies of Sciences, Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, and Polar Research Board for fifteen years, where responsibilities included strategic planning and project development. Geller has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at The American University of Paris, teaching an innovative environmental science course. Additional experience includes serving as a Program Officer at the International Science Council, managing international scientific collaborations, and earlier roles at the National Academies and the US EPA. Geller holds a PhD in Atmospheric/Environmental Chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and environmental studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
