Mónica Gil has been named NBCUniversal Telemundo's new EVP, Chief Administrative and Marketing Officer where she will manage operations, growth marketing, strategy and insights for the company. NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises is a Spanish-language television network that features original productions, theatrical motion pictures, specials, news, and sports events.

In the new role, Gil will continue to manage Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, Government Affairs, Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts and will play a critical role. Gil started at NBCUniversal in 2017 as an Excuitive Vice President and has been promoted three times since joning the team.
Prior to her new post at NBCUniversal Telemundo, Gil was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Multicultural Growth and Strategy at Nielsen. She has experience stimulating growth, supplying market insights, and creating comprehensive strategies for broad consumer audiences. Gil had a critical role in boosting the multicultural expansion opportunities for Nielson's blue-chip clients. She joined Nielson 2005 as Vice President, Communications, and worked her way up to Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Government Relations. Gil also worked as a senior member of Antonio Villaraigosa's political campaign team before her role at Neilson and subsequently celebrated his historic mayoral victory in 2005.
Gil has been recognized for her contributions to the field of entertainment, having been awarded Hispanic Business Magazine's 50 Influences and Imagen Foundation's Most Powerful and Influential Latinos in Entertainment and having been named a "Women Making a Difference" by Los Angeles Business Journal. In 2012 she was also notably invited into the Hispanic Scholarship Hall of Fame.
