Karen White

Karen White is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in political strategy and organizational management. Currently serving as Deputy Executive Director at NEA since February 2007, Karen directs the development and implementation of the NEA360 online platform and oversees daily operations and policy assistance. Previously, Karen held the position of National Political Director at both NEA and EMILY's List, where responsibilities included managing multimillion-dollar political programs and campaigns. Earlier roles include Senior Advisor and Communications Director for the Governor of Maryland, Chief of Staff at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and campaign manager for various statewide electoral campaigns. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Michigan State University.
